Performed design and analysis of riser and
retention systems using laminated elastomeric bearings for numerous
offshore drilling platforms, including the first Tension Leg
Platform installed in the North Sea (Conoco UK - Hutton Field), the
Shell Auger platform and the Snorre Field development project.
Analyzed high-pressure hose, conveyor belts, mud-seals and drive
belts using finite element analysis.
Management of several off-shore drilling projects
concerning the analysis of the structural attachments of the tendons
to the pontoons and to the ocean floor.

Oil Platform Mooring Systems
Analyzed and
participated in the design of the flexible connections of the
mooring system of the Conoco Tension Leg Platform installed in the
North Sea. Engineering on various types of marine risers; analyzed
drill bits, down-hole drilling components, pipe line components,
and other types of oil field equipment. Also analyzed key
components of the mooring systems for the Hedrun, Auger, xxxx,
xxxx
Design and
analysis: B31.1 & 31.4. Pipe Racks; Valve design & analysis; Special
fitting analysis; Thermal, Seismic, Water Hammer; Flexibility/Stress
Analysis, Hangers and Supports: Vibrations/Seismic, Thermal Loads.
Spherical laminated piping flexjoints. Computer analysis of piping
pressure sensors & flow meters.
Horizontal,
Vertical and Spherical, including skirts, columns and/or saddles;
Extensive experience with ASME Code Section VIII Division 1 and
Division 2 rules. Extensive experience in fabrication drawings and
calculations for all types of Division 1 pressure vessels and
storage tank facilities. Carbon and Stainless Steel, exotic
materials (Hastelloy, Monel, composites); cladding; auto-frettage.
Engineered, analyzed and drafted fabrication drawings for many high
pressure cryogenic vessels: to 10,000 psi & - 423o F, per
Division 2 in Seismic Zone 4 and rail transportation. Computer
analysis and simulation of quick opening closures (to 36" diameter).
Computer analysis of piping pressure sensors & flow meters. Skid
Mounted.
